XXXCupid.com is owned by the same company runs XXXMatch.com, PassionSearch.com, SexSearch.com and a few other dating sites. With over 2,000,000 visits per month you would think that XXXCupid was a completely real dating site. But is the site a scam to lure you out of you hard earned money??
It seems that there are a lot of scams going on with online dating sites. Most scams seem to follow the same general criteria that I have outlined below.
How do these online dating sites scams work?
Well, what typically happens is that you will register for a dating site and then shortly after you will start receiving messages from "members" of that site. When you start receiving these personal messages and you try to reply you will be sent back to the site and from there you will need to upgrade your membership from a free membership to a full membership by paying with your credit card online. This is how the scam works.
I have included a screen shot of my HotMail account showing email messages I have received from XXXCupid. The emails from XXX Cupids have red arrows next to them. I received 4 emails in one day, and this has been happening for over a month now. Every time I click the email link, such as the ones show below I am sent to an email message. An example of the email message is shown below.
example of email message from a "member" (above). when you click on "view message", then you are automatically sent to the "special upgrade offer page." This upgrade is only $1 for a 3 day trial however if you forget to cancel before the 3 day trial expires then you are automatically upgraded to a monthly subscription.
the "upgrade offer" page that only costs you $1, unless you forget to cancel.
Is XXXCupid A Scam Or Not?
Overall I personally don't really trust XXX Cupid.com. Receiving 4 e-mails a day from random women just seems kind of fishy to me. My profile on the site is incomplete, and I haven't uploaded a photo of myself, so why would any women even bother to e-mail me? It doesn't make really too much sense to me. This is what makes me kind of leery,it's not as if I uploaded a photograph of myself with my shirt off with my muscle showing, there is no photograph at all. Why would a girl contact me if there's not even a photograph, and also my dating profile is almost bare minimal. And every single e-mail message I received, I click the link in the email message and I'm sent directly to the upgrade page where I have to pay. This is another red flag for me like I mentioned before. With so many other dating sites out there why would I bother trusting a site that that doesn't seem very trust worthy to begin with? No Thanks! There are many complaints against XXX Cupid. Here is one complaint, another, and one more complaint.
Recommended & Honest Dating Sites:
XXXCupid has many complaints against it. Most of the ads I see for the site are on porn sites. Guys get horny watching porn and then they see an ad to "hookup with hot girls" and then end up buying a membership on XXXCupid.com, only to find out there are no real women on the site.
Luckily there are honest dating sites available online. Below I have listed 3 dating sites that are much better than XXXCupid. If you're looking for free chat rooms, then you're in luck. You can begin chatting and watching local women on web cams with a free basic membership to any of the 3dating sites below.
- AdultFriendFinder (for anyone seeking adult fun) 9/10
- Passion (for singles seeking hookups) 8/10
- NoStringsAttached (for married people seeking affairs) 8/10
